iNaturalist Training Workshop – FULL!

January 29, 2016, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free
LEARN WHAT iNaturalist CAN DO FOR YOU!
and us too…

Friday, January 29th, 1 PM

Join SIA staff as we learn the ins and outs of the citizen science tool, iNaturalist. Learn how and why  we use it, and get a chance to practice uploading observations, and exploring data once it is on the web. Check out our Sky Island Nature Watch Project at: http://www.inaturalist.org/projects/sky-island-nature-watch

SCHEDULE

We will meet in the conference room of our new office at 406 S 4th Ave. at 1 PM.

We will tell you all about iNaturalist and our Sky Island Nature Watch Project, and then walk you through the process of creating a profile and making observations. We’ll delve into how SIA will be using this citizen-science application to enhance our projects, and then venture forth into our Armory Park neighborhood to practice making observations and uploading them onto the project.

WHAT TO BRING

Please bring your smart phone or tablet with the iNaturalist app installed (it’s free!). You might also wish to bring a laptop computer to experience the website in full.
