Internships

Sky Island Alliance Internships are unpaid semester, summer, or year-long positions that may be used for class credit or Thesis project work. Interns are expected to work a minimum of 10 hours per week. Advertised internship opportunities are posted here as they become available. If you and your academic advisor have a project that you believe could be mutually beneficial as an internship with Sky Island Alliance, please send a short query letter and one page proposal to careers@skyislandalliance.org. Our ability to accept new interns depends on staff capacity to supervise students and projects. Submitting a proposal does not guarantee an internship position.

Volunteer Opportunities

Sky Island Alliance offers many ways to volunteer throughout the year.  Volunteering is a great way to get hands-on experience, learn new skills, and build relationships with people in your field of interest.  Many of our staff and interns began as volunteers! Learn more about volunteering here.
